The first blue-flame mining protocol on Base.
Throw ETH into the furnace. Every Flare mints Embers each second. Every $FLARE trade pours fuel into the fire.

| Tier | Hold at least | Share of supply | Ember boost |

| Spark | 1,000,000 FLARE | 0.1 % | 1.10× |
| Blaze | 5,000,000 FLARE | 0.5 % | 1.25× |
| Inferno | 20,000,000 FLARE | 2 % | 1.50× |
FLARE is the first blue-flame mining protocol on Base. It is two contracts and one pool: the FLARE token (fixed supply, launched 100 % single-sided on Uniswap v4), the FlareTaxHook that taxes trades on that pool in ETH, and the FlareMiner furnace where the mining happens. The hook pours a fixed share of every trade tax into the furnace as fuel.
Send ETH to igniteFlares(referrer). A 3 % fee goes to the treasury; the rest enters the furnace balance. You receive Embers priced by the bonding curve PSN · market / (PSNH + (PSN · balance + PSNH · eth) / eth) (PSN = 10,000, PSNH = 5,000), then those embers are immediately re-ignited into Flares: 1 Flare = 1,080,000 Embers. The earlier and the emptier the furnace, the more Flares one ETH buys.
Each Flare mints 1 Ember per second. Unclaimed production is capped at one full cycle of 12.5 days (1,080,000 s): past that, the fire idles until you re-ignite or claim. Embers left over after a re-ignite (less than one Flare) are kept, not burned.
compound(referrer) converts your pending Embers into Flares at 1,080,000 per Flare. One fifth of the embers used are added to the market count, which is what keeps the curve moving.
claim() sells all your pending Embers back to the furnace at the same curve, in reverse. The furnace pays you ETH minus a 3 % treasury fee. A claim can never take more than the furnace holds and, by construction, a single claim can never empty it. Claiming lowers the ember price for everyone; igniting and fuel raise it.
Anything sent to the furnace (receive() or fuel()) is fuel: it raises the balance, so every existing ember becomes worth more ETH. The tax hook does this automatically on every taxed trade. The furnace has no switch: it lights itself as soon as it holds 0.001 ETH, which the first taxed trades provide, and refuses ignitions while cold.
| Tier | FLARE balance | Ember production |
|---|---|---|
| Spark | ≥ 1,000,000 (0.1 % of supply) | × 1.10 |
| Blaze | ≥ 5,000,000 (0.5 %) | × 1.25 |
| Inferno | ≥ 20,000,000 (2 %) | × 1.50 |
The boost multiplies the embers minted since your last action and is read from your live token balance at that moment. It is the only link between the token and the furnace, on purpose: the token has no tax, no mint and no admin.
The first non-zero referrer you pass to igniteFlares or compound is stored forever. Every time you re-ignite, your referrer receives 8 % of the embers you converted. You cannot refer yourself. Share ?ref=your-address.
contractURI(), ERC-7572).The pool is bound to a Uniswap v4 hook that takes the tax in native ETH:
| Since the first swap | Buy | Sell |
|---|---|---|
| 0 – 60 s | 15 % | 15 % |
| after 60 s, forever | 5 % | 5 % |
Buys (ETH → FLARE, exact input) pay the tax on the ETH they send; sells (FLARE → ETH, exact input) pay it on the ETH they receive. Exact-output swaps and liquidity operations are not taxed. Each tax is split in the same transaction: 40 % is sent to the furnace as fuel, the rest to the launch wallet. A buy tax is held as an ETH claim inside the pool manager until the next swap (or a permissionless sweep()) redeems it. The hook has no owner and no setters.

The furnace is cold: it needs 0.001 ETH inside before the first ignition. The first taxed trades on the pool light it.
No. Mining is paid in ETH. Holding FLARE only makes your Flares mint faster.
No. There is no withdraw function; ETH leaves the furnace only through claims and the 3 % fee.
No. It is taken on the ETH you put in, before the swap, so the price you see on the pool is the real pool price.
